Joomla is a very basic website builder out-of-the-box, like WordPress, but if you like creating your own plugins it’s an option to try out You can also search for and install plugins to get more features. It isn’t the best method I would use to create a website. I prefer UltimateWB because if you feel like adding your own coding to it – you probably won’t because it has so many built-in apps that are very customizable — it is more like how you would add your own coding if you were building your website from scratch (like with php includes). Your website can run a lot faster and more efficiently with UltimateWB. Platforms like WordPress and Joomla may run a lot slower and require more resources, server memory, with the more plugins you use. Plus then you will have to make sure your website functions don’t break when upgrading the platform as is recommended, because of plugin incompatibilities.
