If you want to use a free website builder, you can try WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal -open source platforms. They don’t have many features built-in and aren’t as easy to use as other website builders. You can find/install third party plugins to get the features you want for your website, but the more plugins you include in your website, the greater security risks, possible slow page load speeds, and your website functions may break at each platform upgrade (required for security) because of plugin incompatibilities. Other free website builders that are not open source will place ads on your website. I prefer to use UltimateWB for all my websites. Even with the basic version you get a lot – a styles manager to design your own style and an easy cms. And it’s just a one-time low fee. Plus UltimateWB is much more sleeker than the open source platforms – faster page load speeds!
