How strong are your internet passwords? Are they easy to guess, contain information you have posted on social media sites? In this hilarious video, Jimmy Kimmel shows viewers how easy it is to hack someone’s internet password. It is actually as easy as just asking them, from the famous Hollywood Boulevard: (Ya, really!)
One woman says her password is her dog’s name (Jameson) and the year she graduated high school (2009). Another man reveals his password to be TelAviv468. And even another man actually spells out his password to clarify its special spelling.
Password strength is very important – i.e. how hard is it to guess, how common a password is…so best not to use these passwords broadcasted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! And best not to announce on TV!
This coming Tuesday, President Obama is expected to comment on cyber security and the hacking events in 2014 in his State of the Union speech. Jimmy Kimmel’s always educating!
