You can set it up so that users pay to access a download, or pay for access to a downloads area. You can do this with UltimateWB. The UltimateWB built-in e-commerce app lets you sell digital downloads, and gives the buyer access automatically after payment is confirmed. You can also require membership to a group for access to certain pages on your website, where you put your downloads, via the cms section of the UltimateWB admin panel. Use the e-commerce app to sell the membership, and after payment their membership to the group can be automatically activated. You can use the UltimateWB built-in social networking app to set up the register/login areas of your website.
