I am planning on starting a website at some point in the somewhat near future but I am not sure all that is involved. First of all, I am definitely a novice website developer, so I wonder if I could create an attractive and professional website and utilize all the features (all the features that would benefit my website, I mean) without knowing that much about the technical side of things. What do you think?

One example: I'm wondering how you design a nice website without already designed templates you can pick from and just use as is or slightly customize (that is what I did in the past with a free Weebly blog). Like I said, I'm not super great with complicated website topics as I've never done it or learned about it, and I'm not even good at art! So how does that work?

Also, I'm not certain what the costs are associated with owning a website. I know for Ultimate Web you pay a one time fee for buying the software. I also know you have to pay regularly for a domain name which isn't that expensive. Then there's web hosting, too, but are there any other fees associated with a website aside from those? And, I know it would greatly depend, but I am wondering how much web hosting (and any other fees I didn't mention) would cost me on a regular basis. Being a young student going into college, I don't have a ton of money to spare.
