Save & manage page backups quick & easy
You can now automatically save your Page Previous Versions and Edit/Revert to saved previous sections. This feature is automatically turned on by default, but you can turn it off from the Configure Site > Basic Setup page, and delete/manage the backups. This method is a lot faster and easier than the previous method you might have used to accomplish this, by creating duplicate pages and saving backups with an “inactive” setting. Plus, no more clutter on your List Pages section with backups of pages You can access previous versions of pages from the List Pages > Edit Page – on the top of the page there is a link that you just click to get the list of saved previous versions. Then, just click on the Edit button to edit/restore the saved page. You can also choose to undo a previous change with one click on the top of the Edit Page.
Previous method:
On your website admin panel, on all 3 versions of UltimateWB software, you can create duplicate pages easily, so that you can go back/forth between different versions, and don't have to overwrite what you already have. To create a duplicate page or page section, on your website admin panel go to Pages > Add Page. On the right side of this page, choose the page you want to copy/duplicate from the menu labelled "Populate Fields With Page:". This will refresh the Add Page form and populate the fields with what you have in your original. Then you make the new changes/updates you want, click the bottom "Add Page" button, and you have your original copy and your new version!
Another method to use, if you don't want to have extra copies of pages and think it's unnecessary to use that method: in your internet browser window open 2 tabs/windows for your Edit Page. Update one with the changes you want. If you don't like the resulting changes/change your mind, you can then click the "Ssve" button on your 2nd tab/window with your original content to overwrite any changes you made.
