Via Google, Verifying your site on Google: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35179?hl=en
- Add a meta tag to your home page (proving that you have access to the source files). To use this method, you must be able to edit the HTML code of your site's pages.
- Upload an HTML file with the name you specify to your server. To use this method, you must be able to upload new files to your server.
For the first method of verifying your site on Google: You can copy/paste the code Google provides to verify your site, and add it to your site using your website admin panel Add(s) Manager. You want to add it as a meta tag to your homepage, so you would want to copy/paste the code to the Ad(d) labeled "In head section, right before end head tag".
For the second method of verifying your site on Google: You can upload the html file via your web hosting account (cpanel) file manager.
We would recommend this second method of verification, so that each time someone visits your website this extra meta tag does not have to be processed.
